Description: Governor Dukakis served in the
Massachusetts Legislature for four terms, served as Governor from
1974-1978 and 1982-1990 and was the Democratic nominee for President
of the United States in 1988.
Since leaving public office in 1991, Governor Dukakis has taught
public policy and political science at a number of universities,
including Harvard, the University of Hawaii, UCLA, and Northeastern.
His research focuses on national health care policy reform and
the lessons that national policy makers can learn from state reform
