The 1986-87 Law School Musical was called Katz. The action took place in a New York law firm that was ruled by a mysterious partner named Katz who hadn’t been seen by anyone in person in years. It is a story of corporate and legal scandal that was timely in 1987 and would be timely again today. In the end, Katz appears just in time to save the day – it was Professor Geoffrey Miller in the first major appearance of a faculty member in the musical. (The "faculty cameos" later became a mainstay.) In addition, Professor Douglas Baird had an unforgettable comedic turn as Katz’s abused sidekick. Two songs from Katz appear below.
