Support Spring Break of Service

Spring Break of Service participants assist the Mississippi Center for Justice in Biloxi and Jackson, Mississippi, to provide legal support to individuals who lost property in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. In 2009, many students also worked with low-income entrepreneurs as they attempted to start new businesses on the Gulf Coast. Students also surveyed local residents in an effort to assist the MCJ in its establishment of a new legal practice that will address behavioral and mental health problems that children have experienced after the storm. To lend support or for more information, please contact 2Ls Julia Forbess or Lindsay Calkins.
